This isn't fair. Why does Nightmare get a Luna to hug and I don't?
Nothing suss is going on here. I'm not implying or suggesting anything. Anything you think they have done or will do is exactly that: what you
think. I just drew the two ponies sleeping, with one hugging the other.
Since a number of comments have been made regarding this, this image is a top-down view
. It is not a side view. They are not standing.
I assume they clean off their makeup before going to sleep. Admittedly, I'm assuming that it is makeup in the first place. (Maybe Celestia uses eyeliner instead of eyeshadow?) Wearing armour and accessories while sleeping makes no sense to me either.
Given their manes and tails 'flow' all over the place, what's it like when they sleep? For Luna, I took my previous idea that she ties up her mane and tail to keep it under control. Nightmare's mane and tail seem to phase out of nowhere and since Nightmare can control it, you could suggest it just disappears when she's asleep. Instead, I decided to make it look like she's turned her mane and tail off, for lack of a better phrase. Without her actively controlling them, they settle down. The result however is not quite as I'd hoped.Additional Files: Normal manes/tails version
