Nightmare Moon Comforts Princess Luna (1)

"Why are you upset, Luna Starlight?"*
"My sister and I had another argument. She didn't want to set the sun early so that ponies could see my night."
"I see. She's probably already asleep, like everypony else?"
"Yes. You're the only one that's still awake. You're the only one who joins me after the sun sets. You're... you're the only pony who cares about me."
[Nightmare watches silently as Luna raises the moon and brings the stars into view.]
"Would... would you help me, Nightmare? You are the only pony that's seen my beautiful night. Would you... help me to show it... to other ponies?"
"For you, Luna? For you, I would stop the sun from rising. I would make the night last forever."

After Upset Nightmare Moon, I wanted to try something with a simpler pose. After doing Luna and Twilight Hugging, the thought came to me to do Luna and Nightmare hugging. Though I didn't end up doing a literal hug (their size difference is too great); but rather, Nightmare comforting a sad Luna. This is the result. I hope you like it as much as I do!
Guess how long it took to export the blur, sparkles and the transparency from their manes and tails. My only objection to the image is that Luna's head and mane cover most of Nightmare's details... there's a full body, chestplate and everything beneath Luna...

* I've seen the name "Luna Starlight" used by other fan works before. I like that name, so I decided to use it here too. Initially addressing someone by their full name seems to fit Nightmare's personality.
